ONE HUNDRED PALMTREES IN THE RAIN
“One Hundred Palmtrees in the Rain” is an ongoing project dedicated to nostalgia, tropical nights and the sound of the raindrops. I am investigating the territory between photography and ink drawing, as I am working with on daily basis. If what was behind my eyes is missing on the photo, I simply paint it on it. Even if it’s just water. So I developed a technique I call “ink on inkjet”, where I dissolve printer ink with water and china ink. Another topic I was working on is how abstract a landscape can be: the experiments go from inverting and blurring to cutting prints and weaving them again. Most of the works shown are editions of 5 + 2 artist prints, and are available on request.
